This new icon is from a frescoe located at the Vatopaidian Metochian of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker in Northern Greece. "O Holy and God-bearing Father Sophrony, pray to Christ our God that we too may receive the Heavenly Light of Christ's Eternal Kingdom!"
By God's Grace I met Elder Sophrony in England. This holy man is truly in the company of angels. To have an icon of Righteous Sophrony enriches my daily prayer life.
