A beautiful print of the popular Christmas Carol, "Good King Wenceslaus" which tells the story of a king who sets off, braving harsh winter weather to give alms to a poor peasant on the feast of St. Stephen (December 26th). During the journey, his page is about to give up the struggle against the cold weather, but is enabled to continue by following the 'saint's' footprints, step for step, through the deep snow. The story is based on the real life of the historical Saint Vatslav (Svatý Václav) or, Saint Wenceslaus I, Duke of Bohemia (907–935) as he is known in the West.

Stunning
Ordered as a gift for our beloved choir director, this gorgeous artwork was a hit! We’ve sung this carol at Christmas at holiday gatherings, so it’s meaningful for us as a choir. Lovely.
