I wanted this icon due to the Byzantine style. I also liked Fr. Seraphim Rose in the Priestly Vestments I have seen in many pictures. I thought it captured enough of him in the icon without being too much of a portrait and not enough icon. The icon in person is perfect. The colors are rich and clear in a way that does not display on the internet.
