"The Tired Priest", a painting by the 19th century Russian artist Konstantin Savitskiy, depicts an Orthodox clergyman who, in his genuine love and concern for the flock, has grown tired at the end of the day.

"More stormy billows vex the soul of the priest than the gales that trouble the sea." ~ St. John Chrysostom

Words cannot express how much I enjoy this painting! From the quality of the wood, I get the impression it will last far longer than a lifetime (I also enjoyed how the edges are painted red just like an icon.)

I will most certainly be purchasing from Uncut Mountain Supply again!

We purchased The Tired Priest recently, and it both visually and spiritually striking. UMS always produces icons with excellent color and detail.
